The Indian Super League has sought external help to improve the standard of its match officials, just days after Stuart Baxter was sacked for his controversial comments aimed at the referees.
All India Football Federation (AIFF) general secretary Kushal Das has confirmed that the Indian Super League (ISL) has approached the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) to help improve the quality of its referees and minimise the frequency of controversial decisions.
The move comes just days after Baxter was fired by Odisha FC for making disparaging remarks at the officials following his side s 1-0 defeat to Jamshedpur, while East Bengal s coach Robbie Fowler was slapped with a four-match ban after making insulting comments soon after.

At 10:45 am, Reliance Industries shares had edged lower by 0.3 per cent to Rs 1,981 on the BSE.
Reliance Industries has completed acquiring the equity shares of IMG Reliance (IMG-R) from IMG Singapore, Reliance Industries said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges. Post the acquisition, IMG-R has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries. At 10:45 am, Reliance Industries shares had edged lower by 0.3 per cent to Rs 1,981 on the BSE. The shares have touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,995.25 and a low of Rs 1,975.90 thus far.

Reliance Industries Limited had earlier announced regarding acquisition of equity shares of IMG Reliance Limited (IMG-R) from IMG Singapore Pte. Ltd. The Company has, on December 28, 2020, completed the acquisition of equity shares of IMGR. Accordingly, IMG-R has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.
Consequent to the aforesaid acquisition, the holding of the Company along with IMG-R in Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) is 65% and FSDL has become a subsidiary of the Company.
Shares of RELIANCE INDUSTRIES LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.1989.2 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 2003.25. The total number of shares traded during the day was 250017 in over 12277 trades.
