CAMERON, La. (KPLC) - The Coast Guard medevaced a 60-year-old man from a fishing vessel 46 miles off the coast of Cameron, Louisiana, on Sunday morning, Coast Guard officials say.
Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston command center received a medevac request from the fishing vessel Jennifer and David for a severely injured crewmember, according to a news release from the Coast Guard. Watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and consulted with the duty flight surgeon, who recommended the medevac.

FREEPORT, Texas - The Coast Guard is searching for a missing U.S. Air Force member who was last seen in the water at Surfside Beach near Freeport on Sunday.
Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a report that 22-year-old Elijah Posana was swimming about 100-feet from shore when someone saw him being pulled by a rip current.
Posana was last seen wearing a maroon shirt.

HOUSTON The Coast Guard is searching for a 22-year-old male in the water at Surfside Beach near Freeport, Texas, Sunday.
Missing is Elijah Posada, U.S. Air Force, who was last seen wearing a maroon shirt.
Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received notification of a 22-year-old Posada who was swimming approximately 100-feet from shore when an individual reported seeing him being pulled by a rip current. Watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched a Coast Guard Station Freeport 29-foot Response Boat-Small boat crew and a Coast Guard Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew.
