Kashmiris facing unprecedented existential crisis: Mushaal Says economic losses of Kashmir soared to $6b in 20 months By Hamid Khan Wazir ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Yasin Malik, has said that the people of the scenic Kashmir valley are facing an unprecedented existential crisis as Indian forces have unleashed a fresh wave of barbarity to quell the dissenting voices. In a statement, the Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization on Thursday said that after August 5, 2019; Kashmir witnessed a massive increase in the incidents of state repression. She said that due to constant siege and absence of the internet facility, followed by the COVID-19 pandemic; the economic losses of Kashmir have surged to $6 billion during the last 20 months. The tourism sector, horticulture, local construction, education, hospitals and medical activities have also suffered enormously.
