GASTONIA, N.C. Detectives say 23-year-old Milton Edwards Jr. of Cleveland County has been arrested and charged for his involvement in an aggravated assault involving two drivers that occurred on January 13th. Thursday evening, Edwards was arrested on multiple charges including, assault with a deadly weapon and reckless driving. His bond was set at $5,000.

Edwards is also charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, injury to personal property, reckless driving, driving with license revoked, and expired registration card/tag.
“Please be assured that the Gastonia Police Department is taking this incident very seriously,” Chief Travis Brittain said. “The GPD has presented its evidence to the magistrate and has conferred with the district attorney and warrants were issued today.”

A man accused of aggravated assault during a road rage incident from earlier this month turned himself into Gastonia Police Department Thursday, according to police.
Milton Lee Edwards, 23, of Dallas was booked into Gaston County Jail at 8 p.m. Thursday under a $5,000 secured bond. He posted bail just before 1 a.m. Friday. Police originally said Edwards lived in Cleveland County but later clarified that Edwards lives in Dallas.
Edwards faces three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, as well as injury to personal property, reckless driving with wanton disregard, driving with license revoked and expired registration card/tag on Wednesday.

Gastonia Police are seeking the public s help in locating a Cleveland County man who faces numerous charges related to a road rage incident involving two motorists.
Milton Lee Edwards Jr., 23, of Vale, faces three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, injury to personal property, reckless driving with wanton disregard, driving with license revoked and expired registration card/tag.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call police, according to a release from Gastonia Police.

Gastonia man convicted of drugs, weapons charges in federal court
A Gastonia man was convicted in federal court Friday of drug trafficking and firearms possession.
A jury attended the three-day trial at the federal courthouse in Charlotte this week and found 38-year-old Marcus Isaiah Curry guilty of four counts of distribution of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine, possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, law enforcement determined that Curry engaged in drug trafficking in and around Gastonia.
