City launches Love Kingston Marketplace 2021 to support businesses and residents
May 17, 2021
The City of Kingston and its partners, Tourism Kingston and the Downtown Kingston! Business Improvement Area (BIA), are pleased to announce the official launch of Love Kingston Marketplace (LKM) 2021 this spring.
The three partners, along with local businesses and the public, have reimagined parts of downtown Kingston for LKM 2021 to help respond to the impacts of COVID-19 on residents, businesses, culture, tourism, and the local economy.
“This effort is all about supporting our hard-hit businesses and restaurants through the pandemic by creating more outdoor space for them to operate, and by providing a safe and enhanced destination for residents and visitors to enjoy during this time of physical distancing,” says Mayor Bryan Paterson.
Grownup Storytime Online
Grownup Storytime
Online is back, still in a socially distanced form until in-person programs resume.
Listening to audiobooks has long been popular among adults, but there s something special about listening to someone read to you, live and in person. And experiencing it in a group lets you enjoy not just the story but the company you’re in. Adults of all ages are invited to listen to stories, essays, excerpts or articles read by KFPL Programming Assistant Margi McKay. Relax at home over your lunch or perhaps your knitting – and recapture the joys of storytime that you knew as a child. You’re always welcome to stay to talk about what you ve heard.
