Some breeds with a double-coat like German Shepherds, Siberian Huskies, Akitas, Samoyeds and Malamutes experience “coat blow.” Coat blow is when dogs switch from their winter coats to their summer coats.
A grooming kit with three essential tools is good to keep handy.
Brushes: These come with rubber tines, synthetic or natural bristles, metal pins, or fine metal tines. Metal tines are often found on what are called “slicker” brushes. And for those who are unable to celebrate, we are with you, too.
Being a parent isn’t always easy. Throw in pets, and it only gets tougher. Your time is stretched, but the love is rewarding.

The offenders below, either from the Chesterfield area or have been in court in the town, have recently been convicted of the following offences:
Melissa Piggott, 33, of St Michaels Crescent, Ecclesfield, Sheffield, was fined £120 and was ordered to pay £735 costs, a £34 victim surcharge and was disqualified from driving for a year for refusing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis at Chesterfield police station on July 31, 2020.

Check your fur babies as often as possible or at least at the end of every day. It’s not extra work if it keeps our loved ones safe from harm. It only takes a minute to look them over, but it’s worth the time.
Where do you look when checking for ticks? The diagram below should help. If you give them a good rub down after being outside, you will be able to feel them.
