As of last Friday the number of current inmates with COVID-19 in King County jails doubled from 16 to 30, according to the dashboard updated by the Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD), which is not good! Before the latest outbreak, which the jail reported last week, 47 other inmates in King County had tested positive for the virus. At last count, the total population at the downtown jail and at the Maleng Regional Justice Center (MRJC) in Kent sat at 1,360.

It’s been five weeks since the election, and he still hasn’t conceded. Alleging massive voter fraud, he’s demanded an audit of votes in populous Democratic strongholds. On Thursday, he sued the secretary of state.
We’re talking here about Loren Culp, the unsuccessful Republican nominee for governor in Washington state, where he lost by more than 13 percentage points on Nov. 3. Like Donald Trump, Culp insists he’s the victim of a rigged election.

SEATTLE Loren Culp, the Republican former police officer who lost his campaign for governor by more than half a million votes, is suing the Secretary of State’s office to demand an audit of election results in six Washington counties.
Culp’s attorney, Stephen R. Pidgeon, filed papers in King County Superior Court Thursday, alleging duplicate ballots, outdated records and dead people voting contributed to Culp’s 56 to 43 percent loss to incumbent Gov. Jay Inslee.
The statewide vote has already been certified, and Secretary of State Kim Wyman has said she’s found no evidence of fraud. Culp lost the official tally by 545,177 votes, many of them cast in the counties where he’s challenging results: King, Pierce, Thurston, Clark, Skagit and Kitsap.
