SEATTLE - A Seattle woman was charged Monday with second-degree murder after DNA evidence linked her to the death of a newborn baby boy whose tiny body was found in a North Seattle gas station garbage can in 1997, police say. The charge was filed against Christine Marie Warren, 50, in King County Superior Court with a requested bail amount of $10,000 after police say she admitted this month during questioning that she was the mother of the dead.
A Seattle woman who allegedly abandoned her baby boy to die in a trash can 23 years ago has been arrested after her DNA was matched to that left at the scene.
