Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 have emerged, including details on the SUV’s expected debut which is likely to take place sometime around end-May 2021. There is also information about a new GR Sport (GR-S) variant, which will get mechanical upgrades over the standard LC300 aimed at making it a more capable off-road SUV without sacrificing on-road dynamics.

The 2022 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series will be unveiled at the end of May 2021, internal documents have revealed.
While the exact date has not been confirmed, Toyota will officially unveil the new LandCruiser within the next fortnight, when the company s internal embargo will lift.

Instagram stated: Due to Global Embargo, design images are not available until end of May 2021.
Other previously-unknown details about the new model were also uncovered in the leak.
The 300 Series will feature an aluminium roof, which has been adopted to enhance fuel-efficiency through weight reduction , as well as lowering the vehicle s centre-of-gravity.

In Mozambique’s Ponta Malongane, it seemed that about seven out of 10 vehicles were Toyota 4x4s when we went there for the December holidays. Hiluxes, Land Cruiser 200s and Prados were omnipresent on the sandy roads of this coastal holiday spot and we fitted right in with the Prado 2.8 diesel VX-L.

The final stretch to Ponta Malongane is a 7km undulating trail of soft sand which requires a 4x4, or at least an expertly driven 4x2 with a diff lock. Even four-wheel drives get stuck there sometimes but thankfully this Toyota never required me to dig it out of trouble in the 33ºC heat.
