Phasmophobia’ Update Makes Ghosts Faster And Smarter With Upgraded AI
KEY POINTS
Furniture will now block line of sight of ghosts
Ghosts can now investigate a player s last known position
The latest beta build for “Phasmophobia” is introducing a few new changes that will make ghosts a tad bit faster and a whole lot smarter during hunts, making them feel much deadlier than before. These changes are aimed towards making the ghosts more threatening while also giving players a bit more room to play around them.
The biggest and perhaps most noticeable change is the adjustment to the ghosts’ chase speed. All ghosts (except the Revenant) will now move at a much faster pace when they are actively hunting players during games, according to the patch notes released on Twitter. However, they will return to their normal speed once line-of-sight is broken, making large maps like Asylum or High School a little harder to navigate during hunts.
New Phasmophobia update makes the horror game’s ghosts quicker and savvier
Phasmophobia developer Kinetic Games has sure been busy experimenting of late. The horror game has just got several new updates, in which the studio’s trying out a whole bunch of gameplay changes. And, going by the patch notes, it looks we could see Phasmophobia’s ghosts get a whole lot savvier.
In the latest beta build update notes posted on Twitter (below), ghosts get a lot of love. For example, “all ghosts except Revenants will now move increasingly faster over time if they see you during a hunt” – and this new-found speediness will “only drop if they can’t see you after they have checked your last known location”. On this topic, ghosts also now have a “slightly increased” maximum chase speed overall.
