Baltimore Police: Officer struck by vehicle, male suspect shot Thursday night

City police said a male suspect was shot by police after striking an officer with a vehicle Thursday night in East Baltimore.
Both the male and the officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police said the incident happened Thursday night around 9 p.m. in the 2200 block of E. Biddle St.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said the incident began after officers were investigating a vehicle that was possibly involved in multiple armed robberies. As the officers approached, the driver of the vehicle struck one of the officers, who fired twice and wounded the driver. The driver crashed a couple of blocks away, Harrison said. A
