Caesars and MGM return to full capacity as Las Vegas Covid-19 measures eased 13th May 2021 | By Robert Fletcher Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts International have become the latest operators to secure approval to return to full capacity at their land-based casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada, with social distancing measures also set to be eased. The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) gave the all-clear to both operators to significantly ease novel coronavirus (Covid-19) restrictions at their casinos in Las Vegas, with the properties now set to return to near-normal operations. However, the easing of measures will only apply to the casino gaming floor, with all other areas of the properties still subject to 80% occupancy restrictions and three-feet social distancing policies.

Caesars Entertainment, the Silverton granted permission to expand gaming floors to 100 percent

The capacity change includes the removal of social distancing restrictions and plexiglass dividers from gaming tables and slot machines, as well as full capacity at bars on the casino floor. The waiver only applies to gaming floors. Restaurants, pools, and other non-gaming areas still adhere to Clark County’s mandate with 80 percent occupancy restrictions and three feet of social distancing. Masks are still mandated statewide. Clark County, which is in charge of COVID-19 mitigation efforts, remains at 80 percent capacity, with the hope of expanding to 100 percent occupancy once 60 percent of residents receive a COVID-19 vaccine shot. The county reports 47 percent of eligible Clark County are vaccinated.
