International checkpoints
remain closed for ordinary travel, except essential crossings for Lao and

New York (VNA) - Vietnam has been very successful in
connecting ASEAN with the
UN Security Council (UNSC), Ambassador Nathalie
Estival-Broadhurst, Deputy Permanent Representative of France to the UN, said
while talking about Vietnam’s performance as a non-permanent member of the UNSC
in 2020.
She told the Vietnam News Agency in a recent interview that Vietnam performed
its duties very well, especially during the month it served as the rotational UNSC
presidency in January, when it held an open debate on the UN Charter and
highlighted the role of regional organisations like ASEAN at the UNSC.
