Queensland will deliver two Future Drought Fund programs – Farm Business Resilience and Regional Drought Resilience Planning

Kilcoy Global Foods builds Australia’s first red meat innovation and learning hub

Queensland beef exporter Kilcoy Global Foods has completed its build of Australia’s first red meat innovation and learning Hub.
The project was made possible by Kilcoy Global Foods partnering with Meat & Livestock Australia and the Australian Meat Processor Corporation.
The industry-funded hub will deliver more efficient domestic meat production and product development, including ready-to-eat meals, keeping pace with changing consumer demands both here and overseas.
Kilcoy Global Foods launched the hub at Beef Australia 2021 in Rockhampton last week.

Flood assistance extended to Southern Downs primary producers

Disaster assistance has been extended to help primary producers in the Southern Downs recover, following the heavy rainfall and flash flooding that drenched Southern Queensland in late March.
Assistance is being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Minister for Emergency Management David Littleproud said DRFA Category B assistance, including low interest loans and freight subsidies, has been activated to help affected primary producers on their road recovery in the local government area of Southern Downs Regional Council.
