The website of Rice Knowledge Bank was launched by International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and Assam Agricultural University (AAU) under Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART) in Guwahati on Wednesday.

GUWAHATI: The website of Rice Knowledge Bank was launched by International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and Assam Agricultural University (AAU) under Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART) in Guwahati on Wednesday. The website was launched by Agricultural Commissioner (production) Rajesh Prasad.
Addressing the people, Prasad expressed his belief that this website will be able to carry various information related to Agricultural to the farmers of the State. The website will be available for the farmers in English and Assamese language. It will include various informative topics related to farming and farmers can also submit their farming related queries. I

HOWRAGHAT: A stakeholder workshop on Rice Knowledge Bank under Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART) was held at KVK Training Hall, Diphu on Thursday. As a part of the schedule, Dr. Subol Maibongsa, Head, KVK, Karbi Anglong spoke about the objectives of the programme. The inaugural speech of the workshop was delivered by Dr. Kanwar Singh, senior associate scientist II, IRRI, Guwahati, Assam while LR Saha, Lead Development Manager,
SBI, Diphu inaugurated the workshop.
