In March, Thompson Property was granted permission to build 14 start-up units on the Manor Road Nurseries land, which was once used to grow bedding plants for the borough by the council’s Parks and Countryside Service.
The site was sold after Scarborough Council moved the service to its Dean Road depot.
Performance analysis with accurate livestock identification ensures success

Declan, who farms near Pomeroy in partnership with his brother-in-law, Aidan Quinn, explains: “We are currently growing just short of 11 tonne of grass per hectare.
“We normally aim for 70 percent D-Value and 30 percent dry matter. Membership of GrassCheck and the Suckler Beef Program have encouraged us to utilise grass as much as we can, which has resulted in increased stocking rates along with a tight calving pattern, not to mention a more efficient, successfully run farm longer term.”

Hampshire County Council has come up with suggestions for families to enjoy this half-term at home, from getting creative with beeswax to breaking free from a virtual escape room. Councillor Roz Chadd, the county council’s executive member for education and skills, said: “Under the current national restrictions we’re all having to spend much more time indoors, and we know parents and carers will be looking ahead to the half-term holiday next week and thinking about how to keep the family entertained.
