Region surpasses 10,000 COVID cases
60 new cases and another death were confirmed Friday afternoon

Waterloo Region has surpassed 10,000 coronavirus cases since March 2020.
60 new cases were confirmed on Friday afternoon, but only 58 were added to the dashboard due to alterations from previous daily totals.
There has also been another COVID-related death, raising the death toll to 215.
The active caseload is again to 409, an increase of 13 cases.
Here are some other updates from the region s dashboard:
33 people are receiving treatment in hospital, eight are in intensive care
9,380 resolved cases (94 per cent)
Over 348,000 tests have been done
8,875 people in region have been fully vaccinated

Region of Waterloo Public Health reported 179 new COVID-19 cases on its dashboard Saturday afternoon.
This update includes both the COVID case numbers from December 31 and January 1.
106 new cases were reported today, with alterations made to previous counts.
This brings the new total up to 6,078 cases for the region since March.
The number of active cases has increased to 578 from 518 since Thursday.

Waterloo region is reporting a record-high 129 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. One more person has died as a result of the infection. That means the virus has claimed the lives of 167 people in the region since the start of the pandemic.

Waterloo region is reporting a record-high 129 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. The previous record was reported Dec. 30 with 112 cases.
There are 37 more active cases in the region, totalling 616.
One more person has died as a result of the virus. That means the virus has claimed the lives of 167 people in the region since the start of the pandemic.
