SIXTEEN more countries have been added to Ireland s mandatory quarantine list.
They are Bangladesh, Belgium, France, Italy, Kenya, Luxembourg, Pakistan, Turkey, the USA, Canada, Armenia, Bermuda, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Curaçao, Maldives and Ukraine.

The decision to add to the list of designated states was approved at a Government meeting this evening.
States being added to the designated list will be included as a priority on the booking system for mandatory hotel quarantine early next week.
Passengers from these countries will enter quarantine starting from 4am on Thursday, April 15.

There is no political row between Government departments over the planned extension of mandatory hotel quarantine, according to the Green Party leader.
Last week, 26 new countries and states were
added to the quarantine list; however, the Government decided not to include France, Germany, Italy or the US.
