He’s gone from Greene County Tech media student, to an intern at The Ticket (and fill-in producer on “The Drive with Brad Bobo”) to television sportscaster! Jackson McCarty returned to the show on Friday to tell his story of his journey from northeast Arkansas to Florida to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he’s about to become a member of the Sports Department at KGWN later this month.

He’s baaaaaaack…in Germany! The “he” in that statement is Paragould native and Greene County Tech alum Skyler Bowlin, who has returned to the Basketball Bundesliga after signing a contract with Telekom Baskets Bonn earlier this month. His 2020-21 season started in Greece then ended in Poland. He’ll enter his 11th season in pro ball in Europe this fall for his 5th year in the BBL, having played in Giessen, Jena, and Wurtzburg from 2016-20. Skyler is currently back home in northeast Arkansas, and took some time out on Monday to join “The Drive with Brad Bobo”.

Chris Anderson, Harding Academy baseball: In a 6-5 win over Ashdown in a 3A semifinal, Anderson homered, walked, scored two runs and drove in three.
Macey Cutsinger, Greenwood softball: Cutsinger had three hits and three RBIs in an 11-5 second-round win over Marion in the 5A playoffs and two more RBIs in a 7-5 semifinal victory against Mountain Home. In a 3-0 first-round win over Lake Hamilton, she tripled, singled and drove in a run.
