A Greenville County head football coach/assistant athletic director and special education aid is accused of having a sexual encounter with a student, according to a Greer Police Department (GPD) report.
Erie Jarod Williams, 39, of Simpsonville, is charged with sexual battery with a 16-year-old, according to the GPD warrant. Williams was named Riverside head coach in April 2020. The incident is alleged to have happened in 2016 while Williams was employed at Greer High School.
Williams is accused of having the sexual encounter with a student in a bathroom of a classroom, according to the arrest warrant. Williams was arrested Tuesday night and charged with sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He has been released on bond.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WYFF/WIS) - A now-former Greenville County School teacher has had her teacher’s license suspended after being charged with two felony crimes involving children, according to court documents.
The State Board of Education in Columbia suspended the teaching certificate of Amy Haugh on May 11, disciplinary documents said.
The public index shows Haugh was arrested and charged on Jan. 15 with two counts of unlawful neglect of a child or helpless person by a legal custodian.
