Upstate lost 592 people to COVID 19 in January, SC s deadliest month

Across the state, there were 1,740 deaths in the month of January.  Here are some of their stories, from a couple who died 12 days apart to a champion for some of the region s poorest areas. Beloved children and grandchildren who will miss playing games and getting special candies from their grandfather.  They will never be forgotten.
