It is all good Social Share The concerns and public discussions occasioned by the announcement last Saturday, of the local training squad for the St Vincent and the Grenadines senior men’s football team Vincy Heat, may seem like furore and bad times for the country’s most popular sport. Much of the uproar with the naming of the squad, was the absence of some of the regulars. Notably, there was no selectee from Hope International, the 2019/2020 premier division champions and this country’s representative to this year’s CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield. In addition to the non-selection of the Hope International players, the squad of 23 included seven players who are deemed “for development purposes”.

NBC SVG RENSON HAYNES APPOINTED AS INTERIM MANAGER FOR THE ST VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES SENIOR MEN’S TEAM The St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation has announced the appointment of former National footballer, Renson Haynes as interim manager of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Senior Men’s Team for the FIFA World Cup Group “C” qualifying matches against Curacao on 25th March, and the British Virgin Island (BVI) on 31st March. Haynes takes over from Rohan Thomas Jr. who was Manager for the last two years and who resigned last Monday with immediate effect. Haynes interim appointment was ratified by the Executive Committee at a meeting last Sunday.
