The rumors about J.J. Redick being shopped to the Nets (as well as the Knicks, 76ers and Celtics) got Alex Schiffer and Danny LeRoux of The Athletic thinking: with the highest paid trio in league history in the fold, will the Nets be willing to spend on complementary pieces when the price will be very high?
There’s been no evidence or suggestion for that matter that Joe Tsai is unwilling to pay the price. Trading away a good portion of the future for James Harden has already been costly. Even with the luxury tax reduced because of the drop in NBA revenues, Tsai will have to transfer at least $50 million in taxes come August.
On the post-trade Nets, where would Spencer Dinwiddie fit IF, IF he could come back?

The other night, before the first Miami game at Barclays Center, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic tweeted out what might be, could be a positive sign for all the fans who are hoping for a Spencer Dinwiddie return this season.
The same month he underwent surgery for a partial tear of the ACL in his right knee, there he was, shooting three’s, dribbling the ball. That same day, Dinwiddie posted his own video of him rehabbing.
Note the title “Post DPE,” a reference to the NBA decision to grant the Nets a Disabled Player Exception for Dinwiddie the day before. The DPE means that the league medical office believes it’s likely Dinwiddie won’t return to action this season. It doesn’t mean Dinwiddie can’t return. And if he does return, it doesn’t mean the Nets would have to hand the DPE back. They have $5.7 million to play with in trades, free
In his first extended interview since the absence and return of Kyrie Irving and the trade for James Harden, Sean Marks told WFAN’s Evan Roberts and Craig Carton that he’s looking long term at.

Tony Romo and Jim Nantz on CBS.
Arguably the most-intriguing game of the NFL weekend has kicked off on CBS – for some of us, anyway.
The No. 1-seeded Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The AFC Divisional Round playoff game just kicked off at the top of the hour.
The contest between the Chiefs and the Browns is airing on CBS. Unfortunately, some cable providers appear to be having issues with the CBS channel at the moment.
Many viewers have taken to social media to complain about the problem with the CBS channel just as the Chiefs vs. Browns game has kicked off.
