Kirksville man admits to theft from an Adair Co. Sheriff s Office patrol vehicle Kirksville Daily Express A Kirksville man wanted last week for burglary was taken into custody and given several charges.  Austin Penn, 21, was charged with one count of stealing $750 or more and first-degree damage to a motor vehicle with the intent to steal. Adair County Prosecuting Attorney Matt Wilson said other charges are also expected for Penn.  Court documents say Penn admitted to breaking into an Adair County Sheriff’s Office patrol car and stealing nearly $1,800 in equipment.  KPD put out an image on March 4 regarding a man who broke into a vehicle and stole items from it on March 3 on North Franklin Street. That suspect was wearing a black hoodie with something white on it. On March 5, a Glik’s employee saw a similar person in the store. The employee saw the man leave in a gold car that was missing a front bumper.
