A high-profile North Texas shopping center has changed hands.
The McKinney Marketplace retail center is on U.S. Highway 75 in McKinney. Built in 2000, the almost 119,000-square-foot property is anchored by a Kohl’s department store and is more than 96% leased.
Other retailers in the center include Dollar Tree, Cato and Wendy’s. There’s also an adjacent Albertson’s supermarket that’s under different ownership.
The McKinney Marketplace trade area has experienced exponential growth and densification over the past 19 years with continued projected growth,” according to property broker Jones Lang LaSalle. “Since 2000, the population of the McKinney Marketplace’s trade area has grown 360%.”
