Covid 19 coronavirus: Fears for south Aucklanders mental health amid third lockdown

Southwell City Football Club parents score £2,100 with Newark Foodbank fundraiser

 | Updated: 11:27, 07 January 2021 Parents of junior footballers have started the year with a foodbank fundraiser. Mums and dads of players at Southwell City Football Club ran 21km on Saturday and raised more than £2,100 for Newark Foodbank in doing so. Southwell Runners (43851552) Southwell chairman John Cunningham said: “It’s been a tough year for us all, but two Southwell City dads started the new year in a positive way. “Aidy Kumar and Holger Kessler are parents of two City under-16 players and were originally hoping to raise £600 for the local charity. “They achieved this with just 25 pledges. But, they still welcome donations, no matter how small, and it would be great if we could really push this total up.”
