Good morning, Gang Green Nation! The big news in the last week was the release of the NFL schedule. The fact that this qualifies as big news reveals how we are smack in the middle of the dead season for the NFL. The release of the schedule is a non-event. We already knew all the Jets opponents and which games were home games and which were road games. The only thing revealed were the order, game times and the London trip, which mean close to nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson said that he wants to earn the starting job, but by looking at the depth chart, it was a given already. Outside of Wilson there’s only two quarterbacks on the roster: James Morgan and Mike White. Backup quarterback has become an important need for the Jets roster. No disrespect to either Morgan or White, but it would help Wilson tremendously to have a backup quarterback with plenty of experience under his belt. Unfortunately for the Jets, there really isn’t any option like that available on free agency. There’s also not many names that would inspire more hope than Morgan or White if Wilson were to go down for whatever reason. While the future looks hopeful for New York, everything now hinges on Zach Wilson, whether it’s fair or not. With that,
Park Hill homeowners sue to keep out city-sanctioned homeless camp

Five Park Hill homeowners have sued in an attempt to stop a city-sanctioned homeless camp from relocating to their Denver neighborhood.
The lawsuit filed in Denver District Court on Thursday asks a judge to issue an order preventing the establishment of the campsite in the parking lot next to Park Hill United Methodist Church. The complaint voices concerns over safety, a lack of public input and the extension of the program at a time the coronavirus pandemic appears to be easing.
The defendants are the city, the church, lead pastor Nathan Adams and Colorado Village Collaborative, the nonprofit that would manage the camp.
Wilson making quick connections in 1st week as new Jets QB

NEW YORK (AP) Zach Wilson has been busy working the phones in his first week-plus as the newest quarterback of the New York Jets.
Calls, video chats, texts and social media messages have all been part of the playbook for the No. 2 overall draft pick, who is wasting no time making a good first impression on his new teammates.
“Talking to him on the phone, I could tell he’s like a general just by what he was saying,” said wide receiver Elijah Moore, the Jets’ second-round selection. “He’s super excited to be here as well. His passion comes out through the phone.”
