COVID-19 vaccine clinics coming to Detroit schools

View Comments The city of Detroit is trying to boost its low COVID-19 vaccination rate by providing shots at school hubs, while Oakland County said Tuesday it is less than 1% away from hitting the 70% vaccination mark for its residents. The announcements come just a day after Vice President Kamala Harris visited Detroit, in part to urge people to get a COVID-19 vaccine. Just over 32% are considered fully vaccinated, according to state data. The Detroit Health Department is teaming up with the Detroit Public Schools Community District to give Pfizer vaccines to anyone age 12 and older at three school hubs, starting Wednesday.
