Hanlon sworn in as Monmouth County clerk; begins second five-year term ×
Christine Giordano Hanlon of Ocean Township has been sworn in to begin serving her second five-year term as Monmouth County’s clerk.
State Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley administered the oath of office to Hanlon on Jan. 7 at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, when Monmouth County’s government reorganized for 2021.
Hanlon was re-elected in November and serves as the 29th county clerk for Monmouth County, according to the county’s Office of Public Information.

LINCROFT, NJ – Monmouth County Commissioner Thomas A. Arnone and Commissioner Susan M. Kiley were appointed as Commissioner Director and Commissioner Deputy Director, respectively, at the Board’s 2021 Organization Meeting held on Thursday, Jan. 7 at Brookdale Community College.
“I would like to thank the Board for appointing me to serve as the 2021 Director,” said Commissioner Director Arnone. “Last year was challenging, but I am proud of everything we accomplished here in Monmouth County and the fact that we have not taken one day off since March 9 and have remained dedicated to protecting and serving our residents and businesses.
25th anniversary Archives and History Day event will be live-streamed Dec. 22
Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon has announced that the 25th annual Monmouth County Archives and History Day will take place as a live virtual event on Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m., and will be live-streamed on the Monmouth County Clerk’s Facebook and
YouTube pages.
The event will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the event which is hosted by the
Monmouth County Clerk’s Office annually to celebrate local and state history, according to a press release.
“Since we were unable to host our in-person event in October due to the COVID-19 health crisis, the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office is pleased to launch and live-stream the 2020 Archives and History Day in a video format,” said Hanlon. “This video will also commemorate and highlight the 25-year history of the Monmouth County Archives and History Day.”
