The pressure builds
A group of Windsor residents announced late Sunday it is seeking to recall Mayor Dominic Foppoli, hours after his brother called on him to resign during a rally in support of the women who have accused him of sexual assault.

The mayor of Windsor, a small town in Sonoma County, is under a sheriff s investigation after five women stepped forward with allegations of sexual assault.
Five women told the San Francisco Chronicle that Dominic Foppoli, 38, assaulted them. The alleged incidents took place from 2002 to 2019 and include claims of forced oral copulation and rape, prompting the Sonoma County Sheriff s Office to open an investigation, the Chronicle reported. (SFGATE and the San Francisco Chronicle are both owned by Hearst but operate independently of one another.)

Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli faces calls to resign after four women told the San Francisco Chronicle that he sexually assaulted them in separate incidents.
Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli faces calls for his immediate resignation after a four women accused him of sexual assault in a bombshell report.
An attorney for Foppoli has denied the allegations raised in The San Francisco Chronicle’s investigation, but other North Bay elected officials are calling for him to step down. This report is nothing short of horrifying. These allegations are numerous, extensively corroborated and extremely serious, said Healdsburg Councilmember Ariel Kelley, in a Facebook post. While there is nothing Mayor Foppoli can do to make up for his past actions alleged by multiple women, his first step should be resigning – immediately.
