Serious Fraud Office charges six people in Labour Party donations case

The Serious Fraud Office has filed charges after an investigation into donations made to the Labour Party in 2017.
The criminal charges are against six people in relation to a donation made to the Labour Party and were filed yesterday in the Auckland District Court. The defendants are entitled to seek name suppression therefore the SFO will not be naming any defendants until any name suppression issues have been resolved, the SFO said in a statement.

Over the last 50 years there was almost as much drama behind the scenes as onstage at Christchurch s Court Theatre.
These revelations come in a new book, The History of the Court Theatre, celebrating 50 years 1971 -2021, that is being officially launched on Friday at an Alumni Event as part of the theatre s 50th celebrations.
Written by published author, long-time Court Theatre patron and former board chair Felicity Price, and by former board secretary Derek Hargreaves, Price says that after nearly five decades as secretary to The Court Theatre Trust, Hargreaves had some pretty good stories to tell.
