More snow and ice cancel 1,000 flights at DFW Airport, Dallas Love Field
Most were canceled preemptively with winter weather in the forecast, and a handful are coming and going from North Texas.

North Texas’ second round of snow resulted in more than 1,000 flight cancellations and left some passengers sleeping on cots and in hallways at Dallas Love Field.
The bulk of the cancellations were at DFW International Airport, where more than 1,000 flights were canceled Wednesday as American Airlines preemptively dropped flights in and out of its hub, according to Flightaware.com. Routing customers to other airports allows the carrier to focus on passengers who need to travel through Texas.
Airlines flying in and out of Texas have already canceled hundreds of flights for Wednesday in anticipation of more snow and cold weather, adding to days.
