Kenosha man accused of killing father, stepmother with machete found competent to stand trial

Officials: Man used machete to kill father, stepmother inside Kenosha home KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) A man charged with stabbing his father and stepmother to death in Kenosha, has been ruled competent to stand trial.
According to the district attorney, 24-year-old Jesus Medrano is accused of attacking the victims with a machete after they tried to stop him from sexually assaulting a young relative.
Officials say Medrano then tried to escape to another relative s home, but was confronted by an officer and eventually taken into custody.

IMPD Homicide detectives arrested a woman for her alleged involvement in an attempted murder of a 23-year-old man early Sunday morning on the city s northeast side.
Just after 2 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2021, officers were dispatched to the 7000 block of Graham Road on a report of a person shot. Officers found Jesus Medrano, and medics took him to the hospital in critical condition.
On Monday, detectives identified and arrested 22-year-old Imane McRae of Indianapolis as the alleged suspect in Medrano s shooting.

Charges were filed on Friday, Jan. 8, against Jesus Medrano III, accused of killing his father and stepmother with a machete as they tried to stop a sexual assault on Wednesday, Jan. 6.

KENOSHA COUNTY, WISCONSIN: Wisconsin authorities allege that a man from Kenosha County murdered his father and stepmother after being caught molesting a young female relative in the family s home. Kenosha police said that Jesus V. Medrano III, 24, had hacked to death his father, Jesus Jesse Medrano, Jr, 49, and his wife, Latrice Meyers-Medrano, 36. They were found stabbed to death last week, while four other children were also found in the family home.
Medrano III has been detained on two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree sexual assault, and physical abuse of a child. He is being held on a $2.5 million bond.
