Tomorrow marks the anniversary of the sudden explosion that ripped through the port of Beirut on 4 August, 2020, sending shock waves through densely populated areas. More than 200 people lost their lives, and over 6,500 people were injured. Homes, businesses, schools, and hospitals were destroyed with an estimated 300,000 people left homeless.
