The Christian County Health Department will no longer be offering vaccines at the Bruce Convention Center but will now be offering vaccines at the health department on Canton Street.
According to a news release, vaccinations will be by appointment only, and appointments will be available on Thursdays from 7:45 a.m. until 4 p.m. Individuals can visit the Christian County Health Department website to schedule their appointment online. Participants must be 18 years or older as the department will offer Moderna, a two-dose vaccine and Johnson & Johnson, neither of which have been approved for 12 to 15 year olds.
Christian County reported only nine new cases of COVID-19 since Thursday.
The active case count is down significantly to 55 and only 12 of those are individuals 60 or older, according to the Christian County Health Department.
Meanwhile, Trigg County reported six new cases since Thursday. They are three minors and three adults between the ages of three and 79 and they are all isolated at home. ); } return false; }); $( #comments .commentlist .comment-content a ).attr( target , blank );

The Christian County Health Department is shifting its focus on COVID-19 vaccine clinics and working on ways to make them more available to the public.
Spokesperson Amanda Sweeney-Brunt said Tuesday was the last day for the clinic at the James E. Bruce Convention Center, as they will now hand out vaccines every Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the health department.
The Christian County Health Department reported four COVID-19 cases from Wednesday to Thursday.
According to the update, that brings the overall total of cases locally up to 7,035 of that, only 68 cases are considered active, and 6,866 individuals have recovered from the virus.

The Christian County Health Department reported six new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, bringing the active case count to 101.
They also provided an update on their vaccination clinic, noting 25,669 total doses have been administered, including first and second doses.
