Tuesday was supposed to be a big day for Jalen Jones, a Rickards High School student who dreamed of becoming a professional basketball player or rapper.
It was his 18th birthday and Jalen was excited. He planned to go down in the morning to the Shell station next to his apartment complex to fill out paperwork for a new job. Later that night, he and his family planned to celebrate at Dave’s Pizza Garage or Miller’s Ale House, if not both.
His mom, Tonya Green, last saw him Monday night as she went off to bed.
