Punxsutawney, PA / WPXZ 104.1 FM Jan 21, 2021 2:06 PM A report of a missing wallet led to theft and drug charges for a 55-year-old Punxsutawney man. According to ExploreJeffesronPA.com, the victim reported her wallet stolen on Jan. 12. She told police she accidentally left her wallet in a shopping cart at a grocery store in Punxsutawney on Jan. 11. The store found video footage of a man finding the wallet and putting it in his cart. Police went to the man’s residence and noted a smell of marijuana. The man reportedly admitted he found the wallet and threw it in a dumpster at a restaurant in Brookville when he found there was no money in it. He also reportedly admitted that he did not have a medical marijuana car and turned over a pipe and a bag of marijuana to police. Police were not able to recover the wallet.

Details emerge in Christmas Eve standoff

KARTHAUS — More details have become available stemming from the 12-hour standoff that resulted in the arrest of a Karthaus man on Christmas morning. Clearfield-based state police and other emergency responders were dispatched to the 100-block of Potter Street in Karthaus Township on Christmas Eve and remained on scene until Christmas morning when the situation was resolved. According to a criminal complaint filed at District Judge Jerome Nevling’s office on Dec. 25, Clearfield-based state police interviewed a Karthaus woman on Dec. 24 who stated that Shannon D. Quick, 46, who lived with her, threatened to “pound her face in” and also threatened to shoot her in the past few days. The victim told police that she had not been able to sleep for four consecutive days in fear that Quick would beat her up or kill her.
