Vaccination at the centres is by appointment only and only people who have received a confirmed appointment from the HSE should attend.
People are advised to bring photo ID and details of their PPS number with them to their appointment.
Both centres have already been used to vaccinate people in cohort 4 in the Governments Vaccine Allocation Groups, which is people with an underlying condition putting them at severe risk.
The HSE has outlined its plans for the vaccine roll-out in the county, with Kerry s two vaccination centres to be up and running from April 19 to begin vaccinating the 65-69 age category.
The Tralee centre opened its doors to the public last week, having been previously used to inoculate health care workers, and has begun vaccinating those in the high-risk category.
The Killarney mass-vaccination centre has not yet opened but is due to open on the week of April 19 as the vaccine roll-out moves down the age categories.
There has been backlash to the change to the vaccine roll-out, which has moved from focussing on professions to an age-based roll-out following recommendations from the National Immunisation Advisory Council (NIAC). This roll-out, based on age, will now start on the week of April 19, according to the HSE plan.
