A study published in the Lanced medical journal examined the case of a man who became infected with two different variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in less than two months. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)CDC, HO / TNS City of Laredo and Webb County officials have confirmed one death and 28 new positives in their Wednesday update, marking the third consecutive update with a death due to COVID-19 reported in the Laredo area.  The latest death occurred on Tuesday, May 18, and contrary to the general trend seen in Webb County was a man in his early 20s. According to the city data, though the 20-29 age group accounts for the largest segment of coronavirus cases, only eight deaths in the same age group was reported since the start of the pandemic last year.
