KILLALOE A 46-year-old from South Algonquin Township is facing sexual assault charges following a nearly month-long investigation by officers with the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police.

On Feb. 1, a press release issued by the detachment said on Jan. 8 they began an investigation into a report of a sexual assault having occurred at a residence in the Township of Madawaska Valley.
Drugs and counterfeit money seized by OPP
Police have arrested a Pembroke resident in relation to crimes committed in downtown Pembroke and in Laurentian Valley.

On the afternoon of Jan. 27, the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located and arrested a person wanted in relation to shoplifting incidents that happened in downtown Pembroke on Jan. 17, 2021 and in the Township of Laurentian Valley back in October, 2020. The accused was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and counterfeit Canadian currency.

KILLALOE An Eganville woman is facing multiple charges following an incident in Bonnechere Valley earlier this month.
On Tuesday, Jan. 12 at approximately 6:45 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter, at a residence in Bonnechere Valley.

As a result of the investigation, Joan Cowan, 49, of Eganville was arrested and charged with break and enter, two counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and aiding and abetting a breach of release conditions.

ALGONQUIN PROVINICAL PARK A Richmond Hill man who became lost during a winter camping trip in Algonquin Park has been found.
Around 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, December 13 members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a missing persons call in Algonquin Provincial Park.
