axe attack Jackson Mason missing: Scots dad was victim of alleged axe attack which left him on crutches for months after assault Updated: 11 Jan 2021, 7:59 A YOUNG father who has been missing for nearly a month was the victim of an alleged axe attack.  Jackson Mason from Fenwick, Ayrshire was seriously injured and ended up in crutches after the assault.  3 Carly McGrath, Jackson’s former girlfriend, was also allegedly assaulted.  A 60-year-old man, who can’t be named for legal reasons, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court but the case was abandoned. The Daily Record reports that the trial was deserted after a female witness gave a statement.

Kilwinning man accused of shooting will remain custody

A KILWINNING man has been held in custody accused of firearms and assault charges after a drive-by shooting late last year. George McKnight, 28, appeared from custody for his second hearing last month [Thursday, December 17] after his arrest for alleged involvement in an incident in Hawthorn Crescent. McKnight faces two charges of assault, an allegation of robbery, possessing a firearm with intent to injure and a charge of carrying a firearm with criminal intent. McKnight entered no plea to the five charges when he returned to Kilmarnock Sheriff Court and was fully committed during the hearing. He was remanded in custody and will return to court at a later date.
