EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - An Evansville resident is stepping in and making sure her neighbors can get their mail.
Pat Philips tells 14 News Clubhouse Road has gotten so bad that mail has been undeliverable since Saturday. Friday, she helped change that after a neighborhood group said the mail carrier was coming to the Old Eagle Valley Golf Course parking lot to deliver.
Pat didn’t think that was safe so she opened her driveway, clear of snow, to the mail carrier so the neighbors could finally get their mail.

Thefts from vehicles
Property was taken from a vehicle in the 8800 block of Lanier Drive between 8 p.m. on Jan. 28 and 6:45 a.m. on Jan. 29. Force was reported.
Money, property and parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Jan. 26 and 28. Affected streets included North Chelsea Lane, Hillandale Road and Battery Lane. Force was reported in multiple cases.
Property was taken from multiple vehicles between Jan. 23 and 29. Affected streets included Jones Bridge Court, Altimont Lane, Lawrence Avenue, Warner Street, Wildwood Road and Perry Avenue. Force was reported in two cases.

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Coronerâs Office says a 16-year-old died Monday in a head-on collision.
Matthew Eric Thornton, of Ruffin, was killed in the crash on Highway 17 Alternate near Clubhouse Road, approximately 10 miles south of Summerville, Coroner Paul Brouthers said.
