The climbers headed out before dawn, working their way up the mountain through powdery snow.

Four shot during party at vacation rental home in Happy Valley, authorities say

Four young people ages 17 to 20 were shot during a party early Thursday at a vacation rental home in Happy Valley, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at 9221 S.E. Idleman Road, just east of Interstate 205, about 12:30 a.m. and found about 20 to 30 people at the party. They broke up the crowd and discovered a man inside the house with a gunshot wound to the chest, sheriff’s officials said in a statement.

The victims in the early Thursday shooting at the gathering were not immediately identified.
Four people were rushed to the hospital after a shooting in unincorporated Happy Valley early Thursday, Dec. 31.
The names of the victims were not immediately released. Three male people and one female person between the ages of 17 and 20 had been shot.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the 9221 S.E. Idleman Road just after 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, where people were reportedly attending a party at a vacation rental property.
