Clackamas High School principal Nate Muñoz condemned a hate crime in a video posted to school s Instagram page on May 24, expressing concern for how the incident might make students and families of color feel unsafe.
Anonymous vandals plastered the front of the school overnight with Trump stickers and beans, a derogatory reference to people of Latino origin. About 13% of CHS s student body is Hispanic/Latino, compared to nearly 20% overall in the North Clackamas School District.

CLACKAMAS, Ore. (AP) The Clackamas High School principal on Monday found the front doors of the school plastered with Donald Trump stickers and defaced with beans, a derogatory symbol against Latinx people.
In a letter to families and students Monday, principal Nate Muñoz said the vandalism appears to have started as a prank, which included throwing toilet paper on trees and writing on sidewalks, The Oregonian/OregonLive reported.
But he said the vandals also defaced the front doors with beans, stickers and other signs supporting the former president, who made multiple racist comments toward and about Latinx people.

BEAVERCREEK, Ore. Security cameras happened to be rolling when two thieves pulled into a parking lot off South Leland Road in Beavercreek. Video shows a Ford F-350, most likely stolen according to authorities, park right next to a green Ford Excursion. The driver of the truck jumps out and drops to the ground. In a matter of 70 seconds he manages to cut away the Excursion s catalytic converter.
