Crash near Oregon City causes downed power lines, deputies say KATU Staff © Provided by KATU Portland A driver crashed into a utility pole near Oregon City causing downed power lines Wednesday,  according to the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office.  Deputies say Southeast Maplelane Road is closed between South Ferguson Road and South Walker Road because of down power lines.  No one was hurt in the crash.  Deputies do not know what caused the crash.

Bishop, 29, now lives in Portland, where hiking and camping are sewn into the cultural fabric, and communing with nature is essentially religion. But it wasn’t necessarily nature that finally drew him outside; it took peer pressure and a pandemic to get him to the trail.

Facebook Share The sounds of gunfire, a crashing car and yelling woke up Oak Grove residents Tuesday morning, and police are asking for the public’s help finding suspects. Officers with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to Southeast Oatfield and Concord roads after receiving reports of gunfire involving two vehicles. When deputies arrived after 4 a.m., they found one car crashed into a curb, the other car gone and the intersection littered with bullet casings, the sheriff’s office said.

Portland, OR   An Oregon man is facing federal charges for fraudulently converting to personal use loans intended to help small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. David Unitan, aka Danny Cohen, of Lake Oswego, Oregon, has been charged by criminal complaint with aggravated identity theft, wire fraud, and money laundering. Unitan took advantage of economic relief programs administered by the Small Business Administration (SBA) through Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), as authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The CARES Act, signed into law on March 27, 2020, was designed to provide emergency financial assistance to millions of Americans and small businesses suffering the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
