The Missouri lawmaker who chairs the Senate Education Committee said the state s top education leader ought to lose her job.
State Sen. Cindy O Laughlin called for the ouster of Missouri Education Commissioner Margie Vandeven during a community meeting Tuesday in Springfield about critical race theory.
She said Vandeven was appointed by Gov. Mike Parson to run the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or DESE.
“We need a new leader at DESE and the governor can make that happen, O Laughlin said to the crowd of 150 at the Knights of Columbus hall. And he will only make that happen under immense public pressure so just keep that up here and bombard his office.”

They were told no residents were home, but Adam walked out of the house and buddied up to Prost and Cobb. He made jokes and wanted to help. Adam just had a great attitude and was funny, started playing tricks on us and had a very magnetic personality, Prost recalled. So we took to him for the day and ate lunch with him, and honestly just had a blast.
At the end of the day, Adam was beaming as he offered to show off his bedroom to his new friends. It was covered from floor to ceiling with memorabilia from NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
