It’s back to the classroom on Monday for students in the Kawartha Pine Ridge District and Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Boards.
Member of Provincial Parliament for Northumberland-Peterborough South David Piccini, tells us more.
Piccini says before school started in the fall, $1.3 billion was invested in education for things like enhanced cleaning, personal protective equipment and improved air quality.
Ahead of this return to class, additional investments were made into mental health supports and personal protective equipment and students in grades one through three must now wear a mask as well.
