Six people were displaced and a pet was killed by a two-alarm apartment fire Thursday evening in Woodland.
Clark-Cowlitz Fire & Rescue units were dispatched at 5:13 p.m. to a report of an apartment fire at 1307 Goerig St. Engine 29 arrived within four minutes and found a single-story, six-plex building with one unit fully engulfed in flames, according to a news release from the agency.

Authorities have not identified the victim, so their condition is unavailable.
Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue crews were dispatched at 10:47 p.m. Dec. 31 to the 40400 block of Northwest Ninth Avenue, east of Woodland, for a report that someone had suffered traumatic injuries and was having difficulty breathing.
Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Brent Waddell said the person was struck by a large firework and seriously injured.

A Monday night fire at a Sifton-area home displaced four people.
Vancouver Fire Department crews were dispatched at 6:48 p.m. to the 9100 block of Northeast 136th Avenue for a report of a residential structure fire.
The first crew arrived in about five minutes after dispatchers received a 911 call. Upon arrival, they found a two-story house with heavy flames licking from the back and side, fire department spokesman Bryan Fredrickson said.
