A man and woman shot Tuesday afternoon inside a building at the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center campus both died.
Authorities have not yet released their identities. The Clark County Medical Examinerâs Office will be handling the release of that information, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Police have also not yet said which person was the shooter, or why the two were at the physicianâs building.
âAt this time, there is no information that the two were known to one another. The incident appears random in nature,â a statement from the police department reads.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday confirmed that the body of a teenager who ran away from home Monday was found in the woods near a Camas high school.
Tyler Schmidt, 15, was reported to be missing and endangered Wednesday afternoon. His body was later discovered about 200 yards off Northwest Nan Henriksen Way, according to the sheriff’s office.
Foul play is not suspected in Tyler’s death, sheriff’s Sgt. Brent Waddell said in an email. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine cause and manner of death.
