Firefighters extinguish sauna fire near Battle Ground By Jerzy Shedlock, Columbian Breaking News Reporter Published: February 18, 2021, 7:22pm Share: Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue crews extinguished a fire burning an outdoor sauna Wednesday west of Battle Ground. Firefighters were dispatched at 4:44 p.m. to the 23000 block of Northeast 67th Avenue for a report of an outbuilding on fire. It took the first engine a bit longer than usual to arrive due to a mix-up with the street address. When it did, the crew found a structure used for a sauna up in flames, Fire Chief John Nohr said. The fire was threatening nearby trees and the residence, so firefighters focused on preventing its spread before shifting attention to extinguishment, Nohr said. There were no reported injuries.

Clark County Fire District 3 crews were called shortly before 6:30 p.m. to a structure fire at 209 N.E. Third Ave. Fire Capt.
